My Pledge to Physical Fitness on Independence Day

Today, we are celebrating 68th Independence Day in India. Yes, this is the day to commemorate its independence from ‘British rule’ and its birth as a sovereign nation in 1947.

Our Prime Minister Mr. Narender Modi Ji, in his speech to the nation, highlighted that India is having maximum number of young people in the world. And, at the same time, we know that India is having growing numbers of people with non-communicable diseases like heart disease and stroke, high blood pressure, noninsulin-dependent diabetes, obesity, back pain, osteoporosis, etc. etc., and these diseases can be prevented with physical activity and balanced diet.

Hence, I thought I must pledge to physical fitness on this Independence Day here at FitnessOzone.com, and must share it with you all.

I pledge to find at least 30 minutes a day at least five days a week for moderate physical activity.

My personal fitness goal is to be active 60 minutes a day for 7 days a week.

I choose the Gym and my sector’s park and roads for my physical activity.

I have discussed my need for physical activity with my loved ones and we have agreed to work out a schedule for my fitness time.

I am sure regular fitness exercise can help protect you from heart disease and stroke, high blood pressure, noninsulin-dependent diabetes, obesity, back pain, osteoporosis, and can improve your mood and help you to better manage stress.

Please pledge yourself with your family members to make our India healthier.

Enjoy Independence Day with your Fitness Ozone layer.
